Top Tips on How to Manage Multiple Instagram Accounts

HOW TO ADD AN ACCOUNT:

1. Using a mobile device, open your Instagram app.
2. Go to your Profile by tapping your profile photo on the bottom right.
3. Now that your profile page is open, tap the burger menu (the 3 horizontal lines) on the top right.

4. On the bottom of the page, tap Settings.

5. Scroll to the very end of the long list and at the bottom, you’ll see Add Account. Tap that.

6. If you login with Facebook, tap that. Alternatively, enter the username and password for the other account that you want to add. (If you originally set up your Facebook page and don’t know your password, visit our blog on how to get your password for Instagram when you created your page by logging in with Facebook).

HOW TO TOGGLE BETWEEN THE ACCOUNTS YOU ADDED: 

Now that your set-up is done, it’s really simple to toggle between any accounts that you have added.

1. Go to your Profile by tapping your profile photo on the bottom right.
2. On the top-centre of your screen, you’ll see your Profile name. Tap that.
3. You will see a list of any Accounts that you have added. Tap the account you want to switch to.
4. You can have a max of 5 Accounts to toggle between. If you want to change which account appear in that list, you just have to remove the account(s) you don’t want. Details below in How to remove an account from list. 

HOW TO REMOVE AN ACCOUNT FROM LIST:

1. Go to the Profile of the account you want to remove.
   • If you’re not sure how to get there, tap your profile photo on the bottom right.
   • On the top-centre of your screen, you’ll see your Profile name. Tap that.
   • You will see a list of any Accounts that you have added. Tap the account you want to remove and you will land on the Profile of the account you want to remove.
2. Now that your profile page is open, tap the burger menu (the 3 horizontal lines) on the top right.

3. On the bottom of the page, tap Settings.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and tap Log out of [username] or Log out of All Accounts. Logging out of all accounts will remove all the accounts you’ve added.

5. That page will no longer appear as an option to toggle between anymore.
